The iris z wave garage door controller gd 00z 1 along with smartthings allows you to remotely open close and monitor your garage door. After forgetting to close my garage door twice in one week i decided to buy this unit. You can also automate your garage door to open and close based on a schedule your mobile presence or other smartthings connected devices whatever suits your needs. This was inspired specifically by the gocontrol linear garage door gd00z 4 which is a great garage door opened available on amazon but has a compatibility issue with smartthings door locks section.

I plugged the wires coming out of the controller on the two open slots from the left see pic below and the garage operates fine with the mobile app but the wall switch garage opener did not work. Ensure your garage door controller is compatible with the linear zwave module. Note i am pretty sure that this method of integration will not work with a myq garage door opener. It can close automatically after a specific amount of time and also can send you notification of when it is either opened and or closed. The device connects to the hub and the close open sensor works fine. In operation for 2 weeks and works great with my linear garage door opener.

Informational there is an amazing smartapp that works with this. It beeps but it does not send any signal to the garage door opener. To reset the gocontrol linear garage door opener gd00z 4 if the gocontrol linear garage door opener gd00z 4 was not detected you may need to reset or exclude the device before it can successfully connect with the smartthings hub. Bought gocontrol linear gd00z 4 from amazon may 2016 and it stopped working several months ago.
